Using Themis online service (, hereinafter referred to as “Themis”) is governed by the terms and conditions below. By using Themis you (also hereinafter referred to as “the User”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed with these Terms and Conditions.

Please make sure that you stay informed about any changes to these Terms and Conditions. When you use Themis it is interpreted as an acceptance of any modifications to the Terms and Conditions.

Themis respects your privacy. On this basis, the following presents the privacy practices for Themis.

Themis attributes to a User one or more Authorities, associating a pair of asymmetric keys to each Authority, used to sign transactions to certify data. For this purpose Themis identifies a User as a natural or legal person, through a KYC procedure. The attribution of an Authority to a User is carried out by Themis as accurately as possible, Themis is in no way responsible for the incorrect identification of a User.

Themis undertakes to rectify the identity of an Authority in the event that fraud or identity replacement situations arise.

Themis is not liable for any information published by the User and any possible violation of the laws on privacy and publication of sensitive or personal data.

Themis is a transparent platform that allows the reading of public data without registration. Any data sent to the Themis platform is indexed and made available for reading by Users. The User who owns the data has the possibility to change the level of visibility of such data from public to restricted (the data is visible only to invited Users) to private (the data is visible only to the owner).

Themis offers the User the opportunity to write the cryptographic hash fingerprint of their data on the blockchain. If you opt for data fingerprinting, only the SHA256 hashes of this data are written in a non-modifiable and non-erasable way, that cannot be traced back to the content of the original data.

In addition Themis offers the User the opportunity to write data on blockchain in raw format.

Timestamping of raw data involves writing them in plain on the selected blockchain, the User is aware that any data written in this mode cannot be deleted or modified from the blockchain network, persisting on it indefinitely. For this reason, at each raw data entry, the User implicitly accepts this condition, assuming the responsibility for the data written.

Both in the event that the data is written as cryptographic hash fingerprint, and as raw on blockchain, Themis keeps a raw copy of this data on its servers in order to make it easier for Users to consult.

Themis does not guarantee the truthfulness of the data provided by Users. The User through his Authority is responsible for the content of the data she enters on the platform, and Themis cannot be held responsible for the content of the data stored on its servers.

Themis offers the possibility to its Users to have their data certified by other Users through “Certifying Authorities”, however it does not enter into the merits and verification of the certification produced by such parties.

Themis collects the User's personal and contact data for the sole purpose of the correct functioning of the Themis platform. No superfluous data for the good functioning of the platform will be collected by Themis, any data deemed superfluous will be deleted.

Themis will send service emails to the User in the event that problems arise that require the attention of the User.

The User’s contact details are used only for sending communications relating to the Themis service, these information will not be sold or used improperly or inconsistently with the service.

We may use information gathered about the User from our site statistics via log files provided by third-party tracking partners (for example, your IP address) to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website.

The User can request the cancellation of their account and their data stored on our servers through the self-service procedure or by writing to “”.

As it is not technically possible, the User cannot ask for the cancellation of data written on the blockchain thanks to the support of Themis.

The information the User sends to Themis may be stored and used to improve our app, or it may be reviewed and discarded.

We may also share information in the extremely unlikely case that it is required by law, in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law, or when we must comply with a legal process served on our website.
